Irina Jank
Irina Jank is a mixed media artist and painter based in Dresden, Germany. She was born in Russia in the town of Zheleznogorsk.
Her first degree was an MA in Printing and Packaging Technology at Moscow State University of Printing, later on she qualified in Germany for her second Master’s degree in Printing. She studied at the Academy of Art in Dresden and currently Irina is doing a course at the Academy of Art in Leipzig. For a long time Irina combined her artistic practice with working in graphic design and packaging industry. Her work experience includes working for the ACCUMOTIVE (Mercedes-Benz AG), BMW, VW, Deutsche Bahn, as well as for Swise Confiserie (Lind Chocolate) where she was responsible for development of packaging design. She was awarded multiple awards for her design work, including “Clockwork orange” Prize, Kiev, Ukraine. Irina has a studio in Dresden where she works on her painting and graphic work. She regularly exhibits her work in national and international exhibitions and competitions, including Art Basel, il Salone del Mobile and more. In 2021 she was awarded first prize in the nomination “Female image in Watercolour” in the 4th International Watercolour Competition ART-BRIDGE.
